Castor83 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Hey all, Been out in Thailand for a few weeks, which was lovely. Still haven't heard anything about the appeal, other than the hearing is scheduled for January. Having seen my boy and the fact that he's nearly walking and talking now, I can't wait that long. So when my Irish passport arrives (hopefully this week) I will be tryin to apply for one of these EEC Permits. I'm just a little unsure of the actual process. Was wondering if anyone has done one and could answer a couple of questions. Basically as far as I know I need to show: My Irish passport. Proof that I'm exercising my treaty rights; which are payslips and a letter from my work. Our marriage certificate. (oh yeah, I'm married now ) But what I can't seem to find out is how we actually apply for one. Is it an online application, the same as a SV and then you take documents to the VAC? Because I remember reading someone you do it at the embassy, but now can't remember where I read that. Also is it possible for my wife to hand in everything without me being there? Thanks to anyone who can help or give me any other advice...
7by7 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Yes, she applies via the VAC, and you do not need to be there. She will need a TB certificate. For other details see:- EEA Family Permits Guidance - EEA & Swiss nationals (INF 18)
