Does anyone know if it is possible to extend the old style passport for a further 5 years as oppossed to getting the new epassport?

Definitely cant extend. New passport, attached to old.

That's odd.

They didn't do that in March when two in my family renewed.

They use to extend them for 5 additional years by putting a stamp in the passport and filling in the needed info.

To my knowledge, you can not extend old passport. Must get new E Passport.

Attach the old to the new (with a stamp stating old details) so that current visas can remain valid. I am 100% your Mrs needs a new passport anc cannot extend the old.
