Pattaya, November 28 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Late on Friday Night, in front of Pattaya Police Station, Police Lieutenant Colonel Pasagorn, held a press conference to announce the results of a raid on a CD and DVD Rental Shop on Pattaya Third Road in conjunction with the STG Multimedia Company from Bangkok. Police entered the “Deutsche Videothek” Store and detained two people inside, Khun Waree aged 40, the shop owner and Khun Ankana aged 30, a member of staff while a search of the premise began. Police seized a total of 10,380 CD’s and DVD’s along with computer screens, computer towers, notebooks and printers, suspected of being used in producing illegal copies of computer software, games and DVD movies. The total value of the operation is estimated at just over 2 Million Baht. Both arrestees have been charged with a variety of copyright offences while further investigations into the business which is suspected of being financed by a German National, continues.
