Gik
Hello. Can somebody give good advice on a competent urologist around pattaya or near (sattahip, siracha) not like in PTT international:" If you squeeze it and feel burning just stop squeeze it" ? sotsira
Im Familiar with Pat Int Hospital, and over the years have had some good doctors treat me there, although a touch expensive especially with the medicine charges. Did you actually see a urologist there or a GP on the ground floor? As i do know that the urologist operate on the 4th floor in the building. Gik
Yes i was at 4rd floor with some funny old doctor. Hi asked my what i want to do and how hi must treat me . After that he told that he think everything is okey just do not squeeze it . Maybe it was just a humor that i dont understand. BTW after i insist that it is a bad decision 'just do not squeeze' he suggested me to make cystoureteroscopy but with ridiculous high price at first it was 30000 baht after i complain that in my country is cost about 1000 baht he agreed down to 15000. Bangkok is the last place where i want to go. It's very far. In case if i will need more than one visit it can be very exhaust. I still think 15000 it is very high price i can go to my home make treatment and come back for such money but again it will be very exhausting. Gik
Why it must be expencive it is very simple procedure for about 20-30 minutes. For 30000 baht i can buy equipment and do it myself but i dont know how to look because im not a doctor. Just joking. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y...sl=ru&tl=en for example price like in bahts. I think in thai goverment hospitals prices about the same but need to know thai language or have somebody with you who good in both thai and english. Bel Mondo
Bangkok Pattaya Hospital (038 259 999) has an excellent urology department. Either Dr. Jimmuy Kongcharoen or Dr. Pornchai Chayaboon are both Board Certified and have years of experience. Also -- should you see later posts bashing Bangkok Pattaya Hospital -- don't be put off..... Go see either of these physicians. Do some research on the Web into your condition. Ask questions and make up your own mind as to the competence of these physicians or any physician.

For anything serious, get out of Thailand and back to your own country (depending upon where you're from). Go to Perth if you can. I have heard and seen some horror stories. This comment is crazy, I guess you don't know that people from Oz, UK, USA etc come to Thailand for medical procedures due to the high quality at a low price, compared to these countries. i have been to Buamradguad and Bangkok Christian, both have excellent services, however Buamradguard is more expensive but much nicer, more like a 5 star hotel. My one girlfriend has a tumor removed here, in the hospital for two days private room cost was 70K, my friend's wife had a baby at Bangkok Christian in the hospital for 4 days, private room cost. 20,000. I think maybe you should consider coming to Bangkok. The government hospitals I dont trust.

I also live in Pattaya but always head to Bumrungrad in BKK when I am seeking a truly qualified Dr. for something I would consider possibly serious. I dont think that most of the Dr.s at BPH are to the same calibre as Bumrungrad

I thought he was excellent and other friends of mine thought as well.
