Rimmer
Very early on Saturday Morning, Police and Rescue Services were called into action after receiving reports of a theft followed by a road accident in the Naklua area. At the scene, close to the construction of a new overpass leading to Highway 7, rescue workers were attending to Khun “O” aged 25 who had sustained multiple injuries after he had lost control of his bike as he attempted to escape from a pursuing motorbike driven by Khun Pachareen aged 16. She explained to Police that as she was driving and talking on her motorbike phone, the suspect drove up beside her and snatched her phone. The suspect drove away at speed, but was pursued by the victim. The suspect, who was clearly under pressure to escape, eventually lost control of his bike close to the new overpass and failed to realize the entire area was currently a construction site. The suspect was taken to Hospital, the mobile phone was returned to its owner and Police will follow up the case when Khun “O” is fit to be interviewed. www.pattayaone.net [newsfooter][/newsfooter] 26 Dec 2009

soundman
She explained to Police that as she was driving and talking on her motorbike phone I thought it was a 400 - 1000B fine for talking on the phone while in control of a vehicle. toptuan
A "motorbike phone" is a special phone for motorbike use. It's legal by virtue of the connections its owner has to Lt. Col. BIB.
