Mobile Plan With Unlimited Internet, Unlimited Wi-fi

Featured Replies

Do any of the networks have an unlimited plan where you can't rack up any obscene charges for internet and wi-fi ?

If so, is this 3G and if so, does the 3G have a fall back position to a 2G network or competitors 2/3G network when coverage fails ? Similar to 3 in the UK falling back to Orange.

I dont know about 3G, but both DTAC and AIS have unlimited internet for their EDGE services for about 1000 Baht/ month

Only TRUE have this. 799 baht per month(no contract) for unlimited GPRS/EDGE?WiFi if you have a TRUE prepaid SIM or 500 baht per month just for the WiFi component if you have a PostPaid SIM, but with a minimum contract period of six months(subject to a penalty of 1000 baht).

They also have a 29 baht per day Unlimited Plan, but limited to 256kbps speeds and having to re-connect every 60 mins.

Be aware that TRUE's GPRS?EDGE product is.... not great. Expect 130kbps or less. In practice, almost half of what you get with DTAC, but if you can pick up a TRUE WiFi signal it's an ok deal.

Sorry, I should ask whether 2G (Edges type stuff) is good enough for Skype ?

Certainly not TRUE's effort at 2.75G/EDGE.
