Chinese Rmb To Thb In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'll be coming back to my "homeland" from where I am currently in excile in China this month, and I was wondering whether anyone could advise on the actual exchange rate is from RMB (CNY) to THB.

According to xe.com: 1,000.00 CNY = 4,851.80 THB but I know that's not what you really get in reality.

I'm a bit of a dummy when it comes to this sort of thing. Perhaps someone might also be able to advise a better way to check on the net?

Thanks! :)

Have been doing a bit of research here and I am working out so far that

1) worst option is to exchange RMB to THB in China (If you know anything about Chinese banks, you'll understand why!)

2) exchange in Thailand is easy, but money changers are a rip off. Best place in the Bank of China in Bangkok

3) You can use your Chinese UnionPay card throughout Thailand, including the airport: just look for the UnionPay logo on certain ATMs. The fee is minimal (I recall 20 baht) and the correct, current exchange rate applies.

Well, anyway, any other comments or advice would be welcome and perhaps the information above may be useful to someone else too! :)

Interesting site. Thanks. :)

Vasu (วสุ in Thai) on the corner of Soi 11, Sukhumvit, gives about 4.83 Baht/1RMB.
