tomahawk
Greetings. I am owner along with wife of beauty salon and massage in Sansai. Someone suggested that it is common in their country at beauty salons and such to use these places as source of information regarding problems affecting women and children. if anyone in forum is involved in charity or organization which deals with women and children's problems such as domestic violence, HIV, child abuse or such things, I will be glad to help distribute pamphlets or notices at shop. Just send PM and I will arrange to pick up. Thank you.
FM505
Excellent idea... could and should become a standard procedure for salons. A network of willing business outlets would be most valuable for people. I don't have specific info about your region but a little research into the NGO's, missionaries, and other such projects should not be difficult to obtain. Start with the large churches in the area. Peace.
misskika007
Check with the APWLD in Chiang Mai.... www.apwld.org... (they have some contact information on their website). The organization works regionally but has a violence against women program and is very well connected w/ local organizations.
