Mobaan
Does anybody live in/ near Tak . Earlier posts mentioned a Government Research Farm near Don Muset(?) ,about 25 km outside of Tak. They were supposed to supply grafted avocado seedlings . Does this place still exist? Does anybody have an address and phone number ,maybe even a persons name ?. I know it is a handful to expect to reach someone at a Government Resaerch Farm by phone , much less someone who actually might know anything . But I do not want to leave any stone unturned . Thanks in advance.
WatersEdge
I live in Chiang Mai, farm in Mae Sot, so I drive past Doi Muser at least twice a week. Doi Muser is about halfway between Tak city and Mae Sot, one of the summits on the mountain highway. There is a King's Agriculture Project at Doi Muser, which is probably where the Avocado seedlings are raised. I don't speak Thai, but could stop by the King's Farm and ask for Avocado lek as long as I emphasize the final syllable, Avocado is the same word in Thai as in English... Yes...I can handle this. If anyone can add detail to the request, I'll be happy to go into the search that much smarter.

sbk
We bought our trees from area residents there years ago, the center doesn't sell the grafted seedlings (at least when we went they didn't) but the local hill tribes people all grow them for sale. they know avocado, no problems. I assume its still there, its a major ag research center.
Mobaan
I got some more info from other scources. The big man there is supposed to be a Khun Prayoon . Is supposed to speak English ??? O f course we need grafted plants ,not the wild stuff . So if some one could stop by there ,it would be THE way to go .
