Thai Words Of Lexitron Data File Not Displaying Ok On Osx

Hi,

I use Snow Leopard and I usually have no problem to type thai letters on my computer.

I am now trying to update the data file of my LEXITRON electronic dictionary.

For you to see what I am talking about, I uploaded a copy of the file here : http://www.ed25.org/Lexitron/telex.txt

1st problem the file displays OK in Safari but not in Firefox (probably a wrong setting)

2nd problem : I would like to update the file in an text editor but thai letters don't not display correctly in textEdit nor TextWrangler

Thanks for your help.

Eric

(I ve browsed the pinned topic "Using thai with a computer" and did a search but no luck ,or maybe I did not use the right keywords)

The file's encoded in TIS-620 or an extension thereof. Tell your browser that by the menu sequence view, character encoding and then selecting a Thai encoding. You can probably convert the text file by cutting from the browser and then pasting to a blank file - that'd certainly work on Windows XP and above.
