By the way, I used to go, haven't been for a while Jing in Chaweng. Expensive , but good & very generous portions.
H2oDunc
I miss really god dim sum. Can't find any on Samui at all. MK is OK but not really nice if you know what I mean. I may have to jump on the ferry and go to Chumphon to one of the best little shops in Thailand for a fix
samuibeachcomber
I wish they would buy beer in my bar! But you rarely see them in drinking establishments! this could be a big problem in the future,as more and more chinese, koreans, japanese, middle eastern and indians take over from the traditional europeans, americans etc.coming here. However they all like go go's,so perhaps Samui could make it easier for go go bars to spring up. No, just adapt to the changing situation and for those who have businesses in shops, restaurants etc.....ADAPT and make signs in Chinese, Korean, Japanese and you will thank Buddha you did! Asian tourism has already more than 60% of inbound tourism and will grow and grow.... Adapt. LaoPo

LaoPo Ok for adapt, but chinese will never drink the amount of beer of germans or british. and they do not like sun, so no beach. i really do not understand why they go to beach like places. They come with a program schedule (characterised by entertainment, fun, shopping, taking pictures, food), have their tour guide with them everywhere and stay not longer than 4 days and they do not understand why Westerners can stay on the beach for weeks without a program. notime
To bad there is no good Chinese food on the Island. Samui Palm Beach Resort at the end of Bophut beach, towards Maenam, has a specialised Chinese restaurant called Guilin. It is reputed to be good although I'm yet to try it myself. Every Sunday, yes, TODAY, they have a promotion Dim Sum buffet lunch for 299 THB per person. I just rang them and they say that in addition groups of 5 are charged for 4 only. This may be the even to try for all Chinese food lovers here! Ahh .. the luch runs from 11am to 3pm so it's starting in 3 minutes .. RUN! ;-)

Samuian
Except a few "well to do" they will have all set schedules and usually discount "el cheapo" group travel on a shoestring budget. very few can even break down, digest alcohol because lacking an liver enzyme... and most have very different priorities! and if on a package, everything within their reach is considered "part of the package"!
