Travelling From Airport To Pattaya At Night

Featured Replies

Will arrive at the airport at 9.30 pm could anyone advise how late the airport buses run to Ekamai and times of late buses from their to Pattaya? Have been advised not to get a taxi from outside the airport any comments would be welcome.

At that time of night why mess around going by bus, would mean you have to go to bangkok, then hang around the bus station with all your luggage.

There is nothing wrong with the taxi's at night B1200/1400,two hours and you will have time for a beer.If there is a long Q go upstairs and get one dropping someone off at departures.

If you go to Ekamai, you will still have to go by taxi.

Don't think you'll get a bus until early next morning. Take a taxi.

Agreed........its not worth the hassle of going by bus, by the time you get to Ekamai 300baht then 100baht for the ticket and maybe another 100 in Pattaya to get to your hotel your only saving 700 baht.

i've caught the bus from bangkok to pattaya as late as 2300.......

In this instance I would have to say take a taxi. You should be able (by the time you have checked in hotel) still time to unwind in with a beer in your local )

Although the risk is slim in any taxi I would advice that anyone take a taxi from a driver waiting in the meter taxi queue of the arrival area level outside terminal one or two as these have been cleared by security and a record made. This would not be the case at departure level and they are not supposed to pickup on that level.

The cost of a taxi from airport to hotel is just not that much more than taxi/bus/taxi for any but really cheap Charlies. :o

Use a booking service... easier and after a long flight I just want to get there.

Many thanks for the advice. By Booking service you mean you can book a taxi inside the airport?
