Itouch And A Touchy Vendor

Featured Replies

I'm in Pattaya and hot to buy a 64 gig iTouch.

Went to Tukcom yesterday, was quoted 14,800 from iStudio but something funny happened. I asked to see a box to write down model numbers etc (which included whatever was on the case, like serial numbers). They had a fit. The model number (mcouzp/a, a1378) was no problem but writing down the serial number was a definite no no.

Why did they have this reaction (grey market stuff?).

Do you think this is a legit iTouch, with all its faults and pluses?

Cheers,

NewGuy

cound be they mite be worried the sn will be checked aginst a list of stolen items??

Chinese clones...

Knock off

Possibly it was a genuine Unit but they were worried you might use that legitimate Serial Number to activate a Clone you bought elswhere.

If they kater sold that genuine Unit, the buyer would not be able to activate it because the Serial Number had already been used.

Patrick

serial numbers is used to activate the itouch/iphone.

Ya they cant give you the serial number, because you can activate it then the person who actually buys it is screwed, they were completely within their rights.
