Hi. i have a non-o, 3 mnd. singel entry visa today.

I went to 2 companys who makes visa runs to cambodia. I got 2 different answer on my question.

What is correct. ???

One said they can make a new 3 mnd non-o visa for me, the other said I can only get a 1 mnd turist visa because my non-o visa is singel entry today.

Is it possible that the one of the company have better contacts in cambodia and therefore can make it ?

Do anybody think it is possible to make a new 3 mnd visa in Pattaya imigration if you have some "contakts" there ?

I have visa from skandinavia, and is "only" 43, but can dokument a high salary.

Thanks

If i understand you correctly you have a Non Imm O visa issued in Scandanavia. Was this visa issued on the grounds of visiting family/friends?

Presumably this is about to expire and you would like to make a new visa........correct?

The Thai Embassy in Phnom Phen has a reputation for not being very helpful when it comes to issuing visas.

I very much doubt that any company in Pattaya can guarantee to obtain a Non Imm visa for you on the same grounds.

Also there is no such thing as a 1 month visa what the company are talking about is a 30 day exemption stamp which is available to you by simply crossing the Cambodian border and re-entering on an organised trip with them..............this is an option for you.

I dont believe Pattaya Immigration could issue any type of visa as they do not have the authority to do so...........they can only give extensions of stay.

If i understand you again, your 43 years old? this has no bearing on any visa available to you. Neither does your salary from abroad.

In conclusion you could go to Cambodia and obtain the 30 day stay stamp or alternatively you could travel down to Penang and obtain a double or possibly a triple entry tourist visa fron the Thai Consulate there which would give you a total stay of either 6 or 9 months in the triples case....(this includes extensions within Thailand and a "border " run every 90 days)

Just depends how long you intend to stay as to which option you take.

With your visa you can stay 3 months.

If you need to visit somewhere outside Thailand and return within the 3

months, this can be done by getting a Re-Entry permit from the immigration dept.

Just before the end of your 3 months stay you can apply for an extension of 1 additional month.

If you wish to get a new visa after that you will need to travel outside Thailand to do so unless:

1. You are married to a Thai citizen

2. You have a job and work permit

3. You are over 50 and retired

4. You make a suitable investment in Thailand (3M baht or more)

Thai embassies/consulates in the region are reluctant to issue non-Imm

visa's to applicants who are not resident in their country.

I hope this help you.
