janderton
.....C. To accept the outcome of an election, even if it's not to their liking.... their=???????...Thaksin getting a doctorate in criminal justice is sort of.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaksin_ShinawatraThaksin Shinawatra was a member of the 10th class of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School,[31] and was then admitted to the Thai Police Cadet Academy. Upon graduation in 1973, he joined the Royal Thai Police Department. He received a master's degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University in the United States in 1975, and three years later was awarded a doctorate in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University in Texas. Returning to Thailand, he reached the position of Deputy Superintendent of the Policy and Planning Sub-division, General Staff Division, Metropolitan Police Bureau, before resigning in 1987 as a lieutenant colonel. Ice123
Former Thai Prime Minister on the run acquires Montenegro nationality http://www.voltairenet.org/article164573.html Recently gathered in the Thai capital, several tens of thousand "red shirts" (UDD/DAAD), partisans of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, collected 300 litres of blood, which they spilled at the front gate of current Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva’ residence. Thakson Shinawatra became a very rich telecommunications tycoon, building a business empire as leading South East Asian manager in the cell phone, satellite television and low-cost air travel sectors. During his five-year tenure, this business man quadrupled his personal fortune while evading taxes. He cracked down on the muslim minority, having at least 2000 people killed. He declared a ruthless war on drugs, lasting three months, that claimed more than 2500 lives and facilitated the consolidation of the networks. Suspected of planning to instate a republic, he was toppled in 2006 by the army during his trip to New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly. He was sentenced in absentia to a 2-year prison term for embezzlement of public funds. Last week, the Supreme Court confirmed the decision to confiscate 1,4 billion dollars out of the frozen 2,2 billion belonging to the Shinawatra family estate. After living in Cambodia (where he was economic adviser to the Government) and in the United Kingdom (where he bought the Manchester City Football Club), Thaksin Shinawatra settled down in the United Arab Emirates. Lately, he was haranguing his supporters to demand the annulment of the Court decision, the resignation of the government and the holding of general elections. However, having used Dubai to destabilize Thailand, he was expelled from the Emirates for contravening his status of political refugee. He has recently arrived in Montenegro, where he was granted citizenship by Prime Minister Milo Đukanović. While he was at it, Shinawatra invested in the hotel industry in Podgorica. Montenegro is a sort European Union protectorate. While not a member, it has adopted the euro as its currency. Milo Đukanović has been accused by the Italian judicial authorities of being one of the Camorra chiefs and of controlling illegal cigarette traffic in Europe. He could not be arrested in view of his diplomatic immunity. Like I already said, he was visiting Italy many times, Italian politicians visited MNE too. If they wouldn't sue because of the immunity, they at least wouldn't meet with him. One politician used that argument that he is sued, and Djukanovic actually showed him the document which states that he isn't as all that was done legally by the laws of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Republic of Montenegro. Everything he did, he did it with approval of Italy, and that even confirmed American politicians and state that some people in Italy are hypocrites, like they didn't know what was happening on those time. animatic
It would be rather ironic, if: Thaksin succeeds in inadvertently bringing down 1 or 2 OTHER COUNTRIES governments, via censure motions ands acute embarrassments, but not Thailands. The fact that this is being discussed at all, shows that internet based efforts to show up the spuriousness of his PR campaigns world wide via dissemination of TRUTHS seems to be bearing fruit. Good: no place to run, no place to hide, from The Truth.

Publicus
I'd say it's true Thaksin continues to cause a frakas but now its become a global frakas and that Dr. Thaksin is riding a tiger, soon to be hanging onto its tail. The guy's been a menace to Thailand for a long time but now is extending his reverse Midas touch to deserving governments throughout the world. I'd say it's true that sooner or later what goes around comes around, so I finally know why Dr. Thaksin has a face shaped like a pie - SMACK! In the army our battalion had one First Sergeant whose face was shaped like a pie which is why we all called him 'pieface'. I think soon Dr. Thaksin will have to volunteer to start the first colony on the moon as no visa is yet required to get there and there aren't any courts of justice - not to mention no Thaivisa posters. Publicus
Clearly there are new developments in this Montenegro-Thaksin matter that have caused many of the defenders of the bonding of the corrupt and the corrupt to chill and to withdraw from their global advocacy of the indefensible now that the global light is shinning on the nature and character of the sleazy governments Thaksin has to resort to and which in their equally self-serving interests have made the huge misjudgement to tie themselves to Thaksin. We know Thaksin has been a plague to Thailand. Now that Thaksin is evermore being revealed as a global plague, governments which have accepted Thaksin's "overtures" are retreating to their siege bunkers, from Central Ameria to the Middle East to the Balkans of Europe and beyond. While the governments around the world that choose to associate themselves with Thaksin already are slopping around in the mud, they now see that any continuation of their association with the mad doctor will bury them in it. Even now the EU is warning a desperate for EU recognition Montenegro gangsta regime about haboring and sheltering a fugitive criminal former prime minister whose full time work of the past four years has been to create havoc and chaos in his own country to his own wicked self satisfaction and towards his own mad doctor purposes and intents. The message is clear to substandard governments everywhere that those who choose to live and stand with the lunatic Thaksin will go down with him even quicker than it takes to hand an envelope of cash under a table. animatic
You obviously hate this man.I am sorry for you. Nothing to feel sorry for at all, actually. Thaksin has made his bed and continuously stokes animosities. His sense of loss of face seems to over ride common sense. Don't confuse hate with a desire to never allow this man take control of Thailand again. It is based on a practically held view of what would likely happen if he did regain control. Based on his past and present actions. He has created fear and distrust of him from people who were once his fans... Hate, I can think of people to hate. Thaksin engenders pity, but also practical fear of letting him regain control of the country.

Knowing his whereabouts at any given time and his trail of stays before being ordered to move on because of his interminible subversions against the Thai state provides us with telling information about the sleazebag regimes he associates with and which countries he cannot or dare not attempt to enter. Because we can know where Thaksin has been or hasn't been we can judge the caliber and nature of the regimes he can asociate with, such as in Montenegro which seeks EU candidacy and where the PM is being investigated in Italy on money laundering charges among other alleged crimes. We need to know whether Hun Sen's economics advisor from the former LOS is physically present next door, which would pose immediate problems for Thailand if he were altho the guy poses problems for the country even from a half a world away. It's up to us whether we might want to access a website or a blog in a given named country to confirm whether the FM has any better handle on Thaksin's most recent or ongoing foreign 'al Qaeda' country. A source at the FM says lower left corner, inconspicuously wearing the brown Russian lampshade head cover and the turquoise dress, carrying a bag in each hand - and of course to throw everyone off, a red jacket (long). That's Jatuporn next to him getting new instructions.... Further updates as they occur. (Sutep says it's good to see so many reds and yellows mingling so peacefully and unassumingly.)
