Setting Up True On Windows 7

Featured Replies

I tried the search function but no joy. So I FINALLY after months of waiting and harassing and making the right friends and sleeping my way :) into a true connection at my apartment (seriously you would think they would WANT business but apparently you need to know the right people just to get the privilege of their service, these people need to learn to make money, more money) I finally today have all the right lights appearing on my modem they delivered last week. Which should mean I'm now capable of setting up my new connection. I'm using windows 7 and not as savvy on it as I was Vista so I'm following the directions that came with my modem package and installing the software from the CD (on Vista I just set it up myself no problem without using their software). When the cd gets to the stage of verifying modem... it takes forever and then tells me it cannot verify. It suggests I make sure the LAN light is on, which it is.... There has to be a simpler way with Windows seven.

So I don't know what to do, any ideas?

Run the program in 'compatibility mode'.

Vista and Windows 7 are very similar. Use the Network and Sharing Center to setup a new connection.
