ALFREDO
1. ? 2. Koh Chang, if you drive to the Cambodian Koh Kong border. Is a nice trip from Pattaya-and the part after Trat 70 km is a real Motobike heaven. If you the owner of your Motobike you may even drive in Cambodia on to Sihanoukville-check the necessary documents. Or park Motobike in a secure place at the border, cross by foot, usualy sleep a night in Koh Kong and go next day with a Bus-early morning to Sihanoukville. 3. Yes. 4. ? 5. Sorry, not in the near future possible to join. I made trip in Cambodia alone, Koh Kong-SNV, good road, no traffic for the most part.
MTH
1: Yes, it's the same place. Haven't driven the route on a bike, but it'll be a nice ride. 2. You can stop in Chantaburi, or take the ferry to Kho Samet from Ban Phe, if that's to your liking on the way back. 3. Yes, the boarder is open every day. 4. Map is terrible, driving directions are a bit off, but will most likely get you there. When you head north on 317, opposite direction of Trat. You keep on driving north for about 30 to 35 Km, then you will hit an intersection with a traffic light, this is where you want to turn right towards Pong Nam Ron. On this road heading east you keep going for about another 25 Km until you see a sign for the boarder heading right. As far as I can see the map and driving directions are supposed to take you to Palin, which is a little bit north of Prum. Prum is the border crossing I'm directing you to and it's the preferred one as you will be pretty much the only one there for the day, opposite to Palin where all the visa run services takes their customers. thesyndicate
I am do not want drive in Cambodia i think getting me to the border will be enough. I want the closest border i guess that is the one every Visa run company using, why is Prum better? I never heard of it How far is it do you think? ALFREDO
Closest border, check it on a map or on Google maps. But if you are a Motobike driver (the way is the goal) and drive a really Motobike, at least starting with 150 cc, you go also 100 km more, if its a nice ride. As one of the posters wrote, East of Chanthaburi should be the nearest border. The border to Koh Kong is Southeast and about 80 or 100 km more far. Check it out, but its a nice drive to Koh Kong.
