More Bloodshed In Bangkok As Red Siege Continues

Why is it some people cannot respond to a post they disagree with without name calling? Do they not realize it will almost surely result in a suspension? Reminds of this illegal red mob who just keep shooting themselves in the foot in terms of having any of their grievances heard ... if they have any real ones beyond house dissolution.

oic You strictly observe your own warning! Are you exempt from you own rule?

Quoted from your post " illegal red mob "

LOL!

Hmmmm

1) Illegal --- under the law the gathering is not legal.

2) Red --- they declare they are redshirts

3) Mob --- This has been used by the Thai newspapers from day one. They are not organized and have no command and control. They are a mob.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me!

Seems you don't comply with jc's rule either. Please note that I neither endorsed or disagreed with any of the names you folks have chosen to label people with. A little testy up there in CM? Maybe the two of you should get together and get your definition of name calling put in next year's dictionary. By the way, I think lots of TV forum posters must be watching satellite TV these days. It looks like the phrase "Day1 and Day one" being so often repeated there in the last 2 weeks has found its way in the forums. So much for originality here.

Or you could just open up a Webster's dictionary ...

Maybe people get killed and injured because they attack the army, refuse to obey orders, etc. I don´t think I have seen any red supporter here talking about people braking the law and if you accept what the reds are doing, say that you accept a mob to over throw a legal goverment, because their leaders are afraid to go to jail.

Agree. I also agree that army snipers should be the judge jury and executioner.

what a wet comment.

everything seems to be wet now...

Latest development, Rama 4 Tesco Lotus is set fired by Red protesters that thought there is army hiding inside the building.

Naaa, they probably ran out of red bull

they also have been looting 7/11's and other shops, broken into banks ... it's party time for Thailand's criminals ... until tomorrow afternoon anyway and than its time to pay the piper

Just to clarify, is this the Tesco lotus situated across Carrefoure near the Gluay Nam Tai intersection?

Bump. Anyone with any knowledge about the validity of this event would be very helpful.

According to live radio report, it just mentions Rama 4 Tesco but didn't say the actual location.

Seconded, Kuhn J has no point at all.

But castigating others seems to be his idea of discussion.

It's still a flame if you use nice words, and supercilious to try

and force others to use words of your choosing

Thai army snipers in action

The last few seconds was really good, if you understand what they were saying. Unfortunately it is in Thai. I don't want to translate it for you.

Could you translate please? I watched the video and I'm quite curious.

You don't believe me anyway. Go and get your girl friend to translate it for you.

Excuse me? I don't believe we know each other.

Reported for trolling.

Now before you say that was a long time ago, this is the same ruling regime.

It has used over 18 coups and endless murder to hold power against the will of the people.

Now we can all watch the propaganda machine Thai style and laugh.

Remember Thais.

When the regime falls someday, and it will, you will be judged. if you write nonsense here, it will likely be used against you if the government takes revenge for the killings by the ruling Junta.

You have no idea what "Constitutional Monarchy" means do you? You might want to learn that before you begin to try and bend history to fit your mis-guided theory. Do you know who the defender of democracy in '92 was? Guy named Chamlong. Where is he now? Oh, leader of the yellows. Explain that one.

......so 3 days of (military) doing nothing but shooting a few idiots without any achievements, ground achieved, ......

To be fair, the military has not yet been assigned to storm the barricades and/or gain ground. Their assignment has been to basically cordon off the rally areas. They're also supposed to be blocking people and materials from entering the rally areas - though they appear to not be doing a great job of that. All in all though, the security forces are doing a good job, especially by hanging in there, and not going soft. If they wanted to kill a lot of protesters, it would be as easy as putting their rifles on semi-auto and squeezing the trigger. As it is, it's a tough row to hoe, because militant protesters are milling with so-called innocents (who aren't really innocents) ....most of whom are women.

I believe the tactics are rather good. Wear down the militants and hope to prevail, while keeping casualties to a reasonable minimum. Let's hope it's all over soon with a minimum of casualties.

Abhisit, a very weak leader indeed.

So who would you like to see in charge?

I would like to see KaengK doing a better job.

Abhisit is playing the long term game now, and he has time. The red shirts are now showing their desperation, and the camera footage is running.

Useless to say "oh he is so weak" yet imagine being in his shoes? and all the opposition. let alone that one could themselves, do a better job.

Here goes the reconciliation ...
RT @georgebkk: Tweets saying Sathorn Soi1 has been invaded by redshirts. Residents stay home until confirmation. (TBC)

... another Embassy area.

The embassies can look after themselves. The people I feel for are people like Maneechan http://twitter.com/Maneechan who is tweeting from Bon Kai. "Red shirts surrounding my apartment." "Hearing yabbering in Khmer & Burmese downstairs. Where r the soldiers?!""Red shirts won't allow us to call for an electrician, they took out all the wires" "Saw lots of Red khmers & Burmese threatenning my aunt! OMG" "*Prays* Please don't storm our apartment!!." "Fire engine can't come in to stop the fire@Bon Kai Lotus."

Ah the old race cards again. LM talk and threat to monarch was last ploy to fail so some child play on computer and say OMG some burma people here try kill me.

Most gonna laugh and laugh at that pityful trick, but you belive it, so can laugh you as well.

Next she gonna say bogey man and thaksin in under her bed.

Whether these tweets are genuine or propaganda is not the point. The point is that ordinary Thai people are going through hel_l. What is happening in the streets is sickening, and there is no reason to think any side will confine their activities to the streets. If its your house it doesn't matter to you whether its soldiers, reds or burglars, intruders are scary. So is being trapped alive in a burning building, however it came to be alight. And that's where all this is heading.

hmmm... I think they say "headshot!"

Chantorn, here is another video:

http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-444485

I hope the army sniper just hit one of those.

Sad thing is, other terrorists will most probably remove the weapon from the dead terrorist to continue to use it themselves.

Of course, the dead man will the be reported as "unarmed".

If the sniper is good, he will try to get the weapon snatchers as well, but it again won't look good, because someone is bound to succeed in getting the weapon.

Then it will look like 3-4 "innocents" were killed by evil snipers.

It would be so nice if the scopes could make a picture when the trigger is pulled.

I am sure this would clear up many doubts.

If the army snipers were just firing at will on anyone, there would be much more than 25 deaths.

BTW, talking about "rules of engagement"... Who watched the movie with the same name?

According to international news, the government is sending the Thai Red Cross into the mob's encampment tomorrow to try and convince women, children and anyone who want's to t leave - can't say fairer than that. Those who remain will have to accept the consequences.

There is no way anyone in his right mind can blame the government for any deaths after so much effort.

Get out, go home or ..........

Interesting film coverage of reds looting shops and banks - the only thing where they get it wrong is that some woman reporter pointed at rocks and molotov cocktails and saying those are the mobs weapons .... there are so many pictures of them with guns and of course their favorite M79 grenades that this comes down to bad reporting.

anyone who want's to leave - does it include Natthawut, Jatruporn . . . :)

Not likely, nor on their best behavior.

Don't forget arrestedman

according what has been said and the fact that the government has asked the Thai red cross to go in tomorrow and persuade as many as possible to leave it is pretty obvious that tomorrow evening those who choose to remain are in for a rather bad time - looks like it is going to be over by Tuesday

they should look out for red shirt leaders trying to sneak out in woman's clothing though

Shows who are using better combat tactics. And in terms of weapons, the military is actually out-gunned, Reds are using grenades, military isn't.

I haven't seen any reports that the Reds have used grenades so far? If they have people with heavy arms it seems like they have not joined the fighting yet.

What about their own living quarters that is not far from Klong Toei slump area, that will be big disaster for the poor.

No proof to back this up except for some of the video shot today with odd behavior of red but this certainly may not be true ... I've heard a few rumors that the reds are paying some of the folks in the slum (mainly yaa baa addicts) to come out in the streets and basically raise havoc.

IMO it shows incredible restraint on the army as they are facing armed (fact) people who have said they will fight until the death (fact).

Also shows how violent the illegal red mob is as the military hasn't even attempted to enter the red fortress and reclaim the billions of dollars in property the reds have stolen and are holding hostage.

Yesterday I asked you for a link about arms outside the barricades and as expected you did not supply me with a link. Now you are stating FACTS again. I am watching 6 international news channels, for nearly 3 days, and not one reporter has submitted a story with video footage of the reds firing M16s and M79's. To answer your other point, the army will not get close to the barricades because they no whats waiting for them. The weapons are inside the barricades. The only way into this encampment is tanks and personnel carriers.. but hey go ahead justify that, I am sure you can. Save your government propaganda for those silly enough that they are unable to think for themselves. My guess is you r ex military, an american or a thai government worker

The men in Black are sitting quietly and waiting.

They have not given away their positions.

If they are charged upon, they will fill the streets with dead young Thai army members.

They shot 245 in just 10 minutes but were using rubber bullets the last time they were charged at.

This time, the bullets will be real.

I predict that the army cannot get any large number of army to go against the group.

Why?

Most are pro red.

Their friends in Black are also army and have warned them.

The endless warnings by the joke Thai government will become just endless threats with nothing to back them up.

Good luck because the fight could turn into war if the reds are attacked in force.

Just my opinion of course.

Of course, your opinion is wrong. Are there any pictures , videos or eye-witness a/c's of black shirts with weapons capable of firing rubber bullets. They don't come out of assault rifles. Any evidence of "watermelons"? Maybe the guys in the truck, and look what they got. Every unit goes back for a rest is going to be shown that clip, and it will be a quick de-pinkifier. The reds are caught like rats in a trap, and the ammo is running out, and NOBODY is coming to help them.

Another couple of days of looting and mayhem, getting picked off one by one, and then the heavies come out. Som nom bloody na!

I don't know who KaengK is, but if you're Thai and you like that person, then go and campaign for him/her. That's a basic tenet of democracy. Trouble is, Reds don't know that. Indeed, they know little at all about what democracy is, judging from what they say and do.
