I am guessing this address goes out to all of their clients. Seems chefsxp don't actually know that I and others are getting their emails. How suprised then I was to get the following email.... hungryINbangkok Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 There's another forum on this topic....I posted the following there....although, this forum seems a little more lighthearted about it all...I mean really...so someone screwed up, but you'd think in these times people would have more to worry about than stupid crap like a few extra spam mails....anyway...this is the other post which explains there really is nothing to worry about... "I too got their bulletin email.....and then some other emails, and some replies, and a bunch of Spam. Annoying as hel_l but not the end of the world. They obviously were using some kind of distribution list, which normally include a bunch of options regarding level of access. They should have set the list up requiring authentication....that would have eliminated the possibility of spam-bot accessing the list...and would have made it impossible for anyone to send anything for that matter....unless they had the access code. Its an easy mistake to make and I guess it would escalate as soon as people started sending replies. But the simple fact is, once the "[email protected]" distribution list was deleted, (and they assure me it was) there is nothing more to worry about.....without that list, the spam cannot get to you. And all you are doing here is damage control or trying too. It is a huge screwup by them and they only way I can show them is too take my business elsewhere which is exactly what I did last night and will continue to do so.
