webfact Posted May 26, 2010 Share Posted May 26, 2010 Gold digging frenzy in Sa Kaeo province SA KAEO (NNT) -- Hundreds of locals went into a frenzy digging up gold in Sa Kaeo province, raising income for locals in the area. Locals in Sa Kaeo province and neighboring areas have flocked to the province to help dig gold yesterday. According to Huaijod district village chief Suban Siemking said the gold digging and selling is legitimate as the land has a title deed entitled to Mr Amporn Sanchomkaew. The space of 30 rais have been allocated for the local community to rent in order to dig up gold, with a renting price of 300-500 THB per lot. Mr Suban said that about one kilogram of minerals and gold can be dug up in the total of 18,000 rais, as the area used to be a gold mine. The Gold digger i met was of high quality and even had a Diamond in her tooth i take satisfaction in not actually buying Gold there though,well at least not for the digger!
