Gold digging frenzy in Sa Kaeo province

SA KAEO (NNT) -- Hundreds of locals went into a frenzy digging up gold in Sa Kaeo province, raising income for locals in the area.

Locals in Sa Kaeo province and neighboring areas have flocked to the province to help dig gold yesterday.

According to Huaijod district village chief Suban Siemking said the gold digging and selling is legitimate as the land has a title deed entitled to Mr Amporn Sanchomkaew.

The space of 30 rais have been allocated for the local community to rent in order to dig up gold, with a renting price of 300-500 THB per lot.

Mr Suban said that about one kilogram of minerals and gold can be dug up in the total of 18,000 rais, as the area used to be a gold mine.

The gold that the locals have dug up is sold at 950 THB per gram, where locals dig about one gram per day.

I'm is Sa Kaeo - news of the frenzy hasn't reached us yet, the workers all turned up as usual this morning.

I was digging too, had to bury the kids' rabbit. Should have been more observant, don't recall any gold nuggets in my excavations.

I have a plot of land near Pattaya and found some diamonds on it lately.............Please don't tell anybody.

Anyway if someone would find out,I rent the land out by day.

I am not proud to say it,but i have been dug before in the province of Sa Kaeo,i know it well.

The Gold digger i met was of high quality and even had a Diamond in her tooth i take satisfaction in not actually buying Gold there though,well at least not for the digger!

I always thought those were 'Honey-pots ' rented by the hour !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have some gold on my lot, located in a plot 80m by 3m if they want to dig ( and no charge)

( never mind it is located from the street water meter to my home)

I investigated gold mining once in Nth Thai ,just alittle prospecting sorta thing, cause I do mining and was told I'd need 1.6 mill USD to invest , maybe they are right ,one rule for the Farang and another for Thai's, gee have I been wrong all this time.
