I received a cheque from the revenue department, which of course only can be deposited in your KTB account, which I have for that purpose only. Since I changed phone last year, and needed to visit a branch to activate it on a new phone, I took the opportunity to do it at the same time as collecting the cheque. As KTB branches are always busy, that cost me the best of 2 hours. When back home I tried to transfer the recent deposit to my usual account with another bank, only to be met with a message that this account was not eligible for transfers, and be told to visit a branch with my passport. Damn, I just completed that an hour ago. So of to another branch to fix the issue, which took another hour, but anyway the fixed it. Before taking it for granted I tried to make the transfer while still at the bank. Got the message that I needed a face scan. They told me that every transfer over ONE thousand baht now needed a face scan, so I told them to just withdraw it all, but 1 baht, in cash. Face scans for anything over 1000 baht, that's taking the p!ss in my humble opinion
