I am an Indian National with proper Thai Visa and Work Permit. I would appreciate your comments/suggestions on . Can I Cross the border through Aranyapathet (sorry if I spelled wrong) and visit Wat Angkhor and enter back through the same check point? Your prompt response will be highly appreciated. fw1 Posted June 21, 2005 Share Posted June 21, 2005 As far as I know you can. I passed through there a few months ago and saw plenty of others doing it. Unfortunately I don't know whether you have to pay an additional fee to go with your vehicle, I'd imagine that you do. The other point to bear in mind is that though the road from Poipet to Siam Reap has improved a lot, the first section of it is still in bad condition. If you have a particularly nice car, you might want to consider alternative options. Getting a taxi from the border to Siam Reap is neither expensive nor difficult to arrange.
