JohanBKK
Hello, I'm going to buy a boat from someone in Thailand but the boat isn't registered. It was build in Thailand but never registered. It's a small boat, 15 FT with a 40 HP Yahama 2 strokes outboard engine. The boat looks pretty new, 2 yrs old and the engine maybe 6 to 8 yrs old. How i can register the boat in my name after i bought it ? Do i need to pay something ? What happen if i don't register the boat ? I would like to have some advices on the price too, the seller is asking 280 000 B, i think it's not too expensive as he agreed me to pay every month for a year, so i woudn't need to take a credit (i can't anyway). The boat is nice but i'm little worry about the engine, how much it cost a 40 HP Yahama 2 strokes normally in Thailand ? New and used. There is a picture of the boat : http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs035.snc4/34088_1517349253692_1233308668_1501706_7648777_n.jpg I'm still thinking about this boat, to buy it or not to buy it. Thanks.

Master Chief
Always buy a registred boat and setup an insurance for the boat. Edited July 1, 2010 by Master Chief
JohanBKK
There is no registred boat in Thailand, anyway we will register the boat, it should not be a problem.
