Human Rights Data Processor – September - December 2010

The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) is a worldwide network of judges and lawyers united in affirming international law and rule of law principles that advance human rights.

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or current human rights / law student to contribute to the important work of the ICJ. This part-time / holiday position requires processing human rights related documents and categorizing them into different topics (for example; extra-judicial executions, enforced disappearances, independence of judges and lawyers, habeas corpus, etc).

The ideal candidate must have good knowledge of human rights law and basic computer skills. The job is located in Soi Ari and the work must be completed between Monday and Friday, 8.30am – 7.00 pm. Regular communication with ICJ staff member in Geneva will be maintained.

Requirements

• Degree in law or human rights

• Good knowledge of human rights law

• Excellent English – written, reading and speaking

Compensation

1000 baht / day (8 hours) OR 500 baht / half day
