O Visa For Usa Married Person

Featured Replies

:jap: Sawadee Krop,

I am a USA male who is married to a Filipina who teaches in Thailand. I was wondering can I obtain an O Visa since I have a spouse in Thailand. I am 40. And wish to go to

Thailand again in late Oct and want to stay a long time. Any advice? Thank you very much. Khop Kuhn khrop.

If your Wife has a 12 month extension of stay from Immigration you can get the same extension as Her dependent.

That would require copy of her passport showing the extension of stay to obtain the non immigrant O visa however. Most Consulates will not issue for a non Thai spouse.

Thank you for your responses. Lopburi3, do you or anyone know, which Consulate would be best to try to apply for? HOw about the Hua Hin one? Thank you.

Royal Thai Consulates are not located inside Thailand. You must visit a Consulate in a foreign country, such as the US, before you travel. If you qualify for extension of stay that can be made inside Thailand.
