samlowry
Almost killed floor in my room. Looking for rubber castors or plastic mat, which save wooden floor. Didn't found it in homepro and index. Any suggestions?
jackr
Home Pro have casters on one of the back aisles, albeit expensive... Index only good for new chairs, and have some nice (proper) ones on sale I may add. Global House (Inner ring road, south) is the best bet for casters, but instead of faffing about with that and probably not making any difference, just bung a bit of linoleum down. PhotoJohn
I had the same issue with my chair scuffing up the parket floor in my rented condo. Couldn't find a desk mat, so I ended up using a small carpet. Found it at Home Pro. It measures 3' x 5' and is fairly thin. My chair rolls pretty well over it and it saves the floor. Don't remember just what I paid, but it wasn't much.
garyh
It does no matter what the castor's are made of, they will eventually pickup grit from the floor and be abrasive. A piece of vinyl floor covering works well.
