A friend of mine is over on a 60 day tourist visa. How soon can he pay the 1900 Baht and extend it for a further 30 days at Jomtien Immigration?

One or two weeks in advance should be fine. Let him bring a photo to.

you need to photocopy your passport first page with the picture on it and copy of the immigration stamp on your arrival .Photocopy the TM arrival card too and phtoto copy the page with your last tourist visa too. you need to fill up the application form from the Immigration and paste a photo with it. You need to pay 1900 baht for extension of 30days and you can go there within 3 days before expiration date on the immigration stamp.

Thanks for the feedback. However I did read on another forum that the photograph should never be glued or pasted, just handed over loose so the Immigration Officer can staple it to the A/F.

Glued photo's on A/F's are rejected causing inconvenience and loss of photo and more expense to the farang.

Once your friend has that, he then has to do a border run after that 30 days... then the 60 days starts again.. is that correct?

We are talking about a TM.7 extension of stay for 30 days at an Immigration office and the photo must be glued to the application.

No. Not with a single entry visa.

err.. The pots of glue supplied on the document filling tables at the various immigration offices around the country must be for sniffing then?
