Any destitution abroad will do.

Only when deported you must go to your home country.

Once you have payed your Overstay Fine you are free to go anywhere.

You can even return to Thailand.

You can even pay your fine at a border crossing walk in get stamped in and out of that country and walk back in to Thailand in 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how many people are crossing the border that day.
