A_Traveller Posted September 13, 2010 Share Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) The frustrating thing is that this presentation was in 2009, with suggestions then that the software would be open sourced in a month or so. Since then silence. The technology is so persuasive, and does put the flurry about i-- tablets into perspective. The impression I get is either MIT is trying to put something together [not the best hope frankly] or are, even worse, sitting on it. The really strong link is the positional aware data concept [seen in movies such as Iron Man, though faked] which is also part of the data-wall approach seen with John Underkoffler's work, {Oblong Industries} popularised in Minority Report. TED John Underkoffler's 2010 Video Note the applause for the 15 year old work again at MIT!
