Changing Non O Ed Visa To Non B

I am just about to start at a school teaching and i need to get a Non B visa. I currently have an ED visa (1 yr) and was wondering, can i just change it for Non B in Bkk..? Or even at my "local" consulate?

No, normally you will have to go abroad to a neighboring country and get a non-immigrant visa there.

You can of course try, but unless your employer is a well known government school/university who will help you with applying immigration will not convert.
