tartempion
Bus 552 from the Transportation Center takes Sukhumvit (gets by Ekamai) and turns left at Asoke end destination Klong Toey, 38 baht if I remember correctly. Or take Airport Express AE3 directly from the airport, Sukhumvit (stops at Ekkamai), Central World and Wireless road, 150 baht. Taking the Airport Rail Link, your best bet would be City line at Ramkhamheang (15 baht for the time being) dunno from there to Ekkamai Edited September 25, 2010 by tartempion

Tartempion rightly suggests 3 options. AE2 is the easiest, bus 552 is the cheapest but probably will take the longest duration as you need to take the shuttle to the transport center first. A variation of the last suggestion is that could also take the Airport Link (15 baht) to Phaya Thai and the change to the BTS back around to Ekkamai (40) if it is peak hour traffic conditions. (It would be more direct to take the Airport Link to Makkasan (15b), change to MRT at Phetchaburi to Sukhumwit/Asoke (16b) for the BTS to Ekkamai (20b) but this is not recommended if you have baggage as it will just be a hassle to interchange between ARL Makkasan & MRT Phetchabrui stations).
