bangkokcitylimits
Ofcourse that depends on ones interests, but for me actually it is more curiosity. I've no clear idea of what it is and how it looks like, and careful to try it to not mess up my system settings and guess I don't need it anyway. What people use it for, mainly ? I understand you don't use it via normal browser and you don't enter it using 'www' ? What on the normal 'www' you can compare it with ? Who runs it ? Do you need to close down the normal browsers when using it ? (most stupid question of all I guess, lol) Why it is popular for sharing illegal material ? What are the interesting usenet related websites ? Is it interesting ? running out of questionmarks now. Usenet @ lifehacker The Newsgroups Quick Start Guide The last time when someone warned me with 'you don't talk about' was when some idiot invited me for a secret introduction- and brainwashing meeting of a multi-level-marketing scam called 'Titan', the dude lost 6000 euro plus his friends and business partners (me), of which most of them also lost 6000 euro HAHAHAHAHA.... but it was interesting enough too watch this from the inside, never saw 400 people with a such a strange look in their eyes Edited October 12, 2010 by bangkokcitylimits

bangkockney
Why don't you just download a reader and take a look for yourself? No need to change settings on your system. Jees, people seem so scared of computers sometimes! Or if this is a bit much for you, you can use a web front end, like google groups: http://groups.google.com/ Lots of spam, kiddie porn and file sharing on the unfiltered network, Google Groups has content filters in place. craigt3365
I used it quite a lot many years ago...but there are so many other places to get that info now. I've not really found it necessary to use this service. Plus, as mentioned above, I found it was full of spam and took too much time to get everything sorted out.... Best not to write something off solely on the opinions of others... Edited October 13, 2010 by bangkockney
