News_Editor Posted October 12, 2010 Share Posted October 12, 2010 Islamic group suspected after blast destroys Nigerian police station 2010-10-12 19:59:11 GMT+7 (ICT) ABUJA, NIGERIA (BNO NEWS) -- An alleged attack by the Islamist group Boko Haram on Monday destroyed a police station in the northern region of Nigeria, injuring three people, local media reported. On Monday, at around 9.30 p.m. local time, the group forced entry into a police station located in the city of Maiduguri. During the attack, a gunmen shot and injured a policeman and soon after, an explosion inside blasted the station, injuring another policeman and a woman. The explosion was reportedly caused by a Molotov cocktail.
