My wife changed her family name to mine in 2002 and she bought land

in 2007. No problems.

Also owned land and she still has it.

I remember that such rules existed. But the laws have been changed "long ago" (can not tell when that was). My wife has adopted my surname and absolutely no loss. She bought land after that too. Now owns some 42 rai of farmland ;)
