Immigration Office Visa Extension

Featured Replies

I recently missed my ride to get my visa stamp in poipet - so i had to go to the immigration office to get my stamp for 7 day extension. My question is after the 7 days i am able to continue with the 15 day Cambodia stamp correct?

Or am i not allowed back into thailand? do i need to go to laos and get the 3months?

any help is greatly appreciated.

This sounds like a question for the experts in the Immigration and Visa section. But I guess a start would be to clarify what classw of visa you currently hold or are you on a 30-day on arrival stamp.

It's no problem. Just carry on as usual. The only negative is that you wasted 2000 baht.

Thought so. Tell me about it - place is a huge cash grab

How can you say that Thailand is a huge cash grab, you missed the visa run so you have to pay the price - seems fair to me, we have to obey the rules of Thailand.

I have for the past fifteen years with no complaints.

Obtain the correct visa before arrival, avoiding the border runs and 'workaround schemes'
