Visit To Laos And Return

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this as it concerns entry into Lao and Thailand.

I'm visiting my gf from 30th December this year until 22nd January next year and we would like to visit Laos for probably 2 days. I normally just have the 30 day entry stamp for the 2 weeks I stay and will do the same for the 3 weeks this time. From what I've read I can pay for a visa for a short stay in Laos at airports or border checkpoints

When I return to Thailand via an international border crossing I assume I can get an entry stamp although I think it is for 15 days if not arriving by air.

My gf has been before but of course it's a lot easier for her.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Lao Visa at the border around 1,500 Baht depending on nationality.

When returning to Thailand you will get 30 days by air and 15 days by land.

Thanks for the information. Seems like I should be OK so long as I return to Thailand after the 8th of January all should be OK.

Thanks again.
