Non O Extension Using 40K Per Month

Featured Replies

Is there a limit to how many consecutive times a farang male can use the 40k per month provided by his

thai wife option, to extend his non O visa.

Thanks

Yes, it is limited to 0 (zero) times, as only the foreign husbands income is taken into consideration. As of Nov. 2008 the Thai wife's income is not taken into consideration.

Yes it has to be your income or savings.

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Ok thanks, we have been ok the last 3 years, but today at Samui Immigration I was denied

and took the 60 days that was offered to me. We are back in UK at christmas so will apply

for a multi non O then.

They had the discretion to extend it based on the wife's income till Nov. 2009 for old cases.

Suspect that they did that in past year, but they should have warned you that it now is no longer possible. Seems they forgot.
