New Flight To Buri Ram?

Posted this on the general travel site. Plenty of reads, no responses, so decided to relocate it here for a better chance of getting some feedback.

It seems from Air Asia's website (and the booking section in particular) that they plan to offer flights from both CNX and BKK to Buri Ram (BFV).

Has anyone heard anything about this and what are the chances of such flights being viable and therefore more than a temporary fixture? Or is this something that used to happen but closed down years ago?

I saw the same thing on AA site. Not only to Buri Ram but also to Hat Yai, Singapore and Hong Kong.

You need to post this in the Isaan Forum; there might be quite a few signs of interest from Buriram residents. Now we have to take a 13-hour bus trip, or go a roundabout route.

Would save a hel_l of a drive !
