My Current Situation

Featured Replies

Ok, heres a little background;

I was terminated on 9 Nov 2010, the same day as my work permit and non B was expiring.

I went to One stop Visa prior to receiving the termination letter and was given a 2 year work permit.

Since I was being terminated I went to immigration and paid for a 7 day extension which expired on 16 Nov.

On 16 Nov I went to Laos and got a tourist visa and returned to BKK on 17th Nov at night.

Now today, 18 Nov., I have been offered my job position back with a start date of 1 Dec.

I am thinking about going to Penang and take my work permit with the letter of invitation and company registration etc. with me and apply for a Non B multiple entry if possible. I want a multiple as I never know what this boss will do next and I don't want to be stuck with a visa that is tied to work permit.

After you read this, please provide some logistical advice to me if possible or what route to take.

Thanks

Dan

KhunDan,

why don't you get a contract with your employer tying you to this job for the next two years, meaning he cant toss you out again for the next couple of years.

Can you get a non O visa then if you don't have a work permit you won't be without a visa.

You will need a new work permit, maybe apply in advance. You will need it to apply for the new non-B.

A non-B multiple is difficult to get in Asia.
