November 22, 201015 yr My current non b plus the 90 days extra at the end are about to finish. I am British have a work permit and all the paperwork for a new non B. Is Laos the nearest Thai embassy, are they issuing 1 year multiples and is there a company that can arrange the run from Chiang Mai?
November 22, 201015 yr If you have a work permit, is there a reason that you cannot extend for 1 year at immigration (you would need to show sufficient income, for most westerners that would be 50,000 baht a month). For a new multiple non-B you would need to go to Malaysia, either Kota Baru or Kuala Lumpur. Both have additional requirements to issue a multiple non-B. Such as time left on the Work Permit and/or capital the company must have. Other nearest that will issue would be Australia.
November 22, 201015 yr Author Thanks Mario, I am in Samui don't have time to go to Malaysia before going to Chiang Mai. Do you or anyone know anything about the embassy in Vietiane?
November 22, 201015 yr Vientienne will only issue a single entry. They expect you to extend at Immigration.
November 22, 201015 yr Can anyone suggest an alternative? Get an extension of stay if your income qualifies, go to Malaysia if you qualify according to their rules or go to Australia or Europe for a new multiple non-B. Of getting a multiple non-B in Indonesia or Vietnam I'm not sure, we don't see many reports about these places. But in the region they want you to apply for an extension of stay and will only issue a single non-B, not a multiple.
November 22, 201015 yr Extend at Immigration or go to Kuala Lumpur are probably the only choices without going back to UK or possibly Australia.
