Kl Visa Run

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i am flying to KL on Monday to apply for my non O multi entry. I would normally do this in the UK but cannot be bothered to fly there.

It will be easier and cheaper to do this in KL. I have all the paper work ready + money in the bank.

I would like to know how easy it is getting to the city center and what transport i should take, i am booked into the De Palma hotel Ampang, Selangor.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

A lot would depend on what airline you were using.

low cost carrier or regular airline.

They use different airports.

From KL International assuming you land at the new one, take the non-stop train to KL Central.

Depending upon the actual Hotel location you may be able to use the monorail for part of the remainder of the journey? Or taxi from KL Central to Hotel.

Hi Geordie,

If you fly Air Asia u just need to take a red color Air Asia bus at the end of domestic flight gate, its only RM10 the bus will take you to KL Central (1hr ride). From KL Central you have to take Putra LRT that heading to Terminal Putra end and choose Ampang Part Station RM5+ - (30min ride) but there is two exit choose Ampang Park Shoping Center Exit and from there take a Taxi RM8+ - to De Palma Hotel Ampang it takes (30min ride).

biggrin.gif There you go ! you save RM100. or more if you take air port taxi.biggrin.gif

Cheers,

From Ampang you can get with walking distance of the Thai Embassy by train but they are not very friendly.
