CNXSTEVE
Does anybody know the current options for cheap AIS calls to the UK? 009 used to be good but did not work last time I tried, and 005 was charged at the standard Ais rate of 19BT a minute

GuyDow
Best I've found is the pre-paid CAT PhoneNet card which you can use on all networks including AIS. I usually get mine from the CAT office in Times Square next to Asoke BTS but I believe you can get them from Tesco-Lotus, etc. Call quality is acceptable and it is about 1 baht a minute to phone UK landlines. Interested to hear if anyone has a better option than this.
fokus
Hi Guys I have been using thook dee International phone card, available from any 7/11, calls cost 1 baht per min to the Uk and 7 baht to ring mobiles, as long as you use there call back service, when you ring the number is engaged, then you hang up and they ring you back so you do not have to pay for the call, press 2 for English then its straight forward. Hope this helps, and a good quality.
tomartoh
I used a CAT card a few days ago from my mobile and it was 2bahts a min for landlines and 6b for mobiles. You just dial in the string of numbers and they tell you how much credit etc
tirekicker
I use the Inter Sim from Truemove calls to the U.K and Australia, mobile to fixed line is B.1 per minute and B.6 per minute to a mobile. Minor hassle to change SIM card every time I want to phone abroad otherwise works very well.

Works pretty well in my experience although occasionally you can't connect the first time and have to redial.
CNXSTEVE
Thanks for the answers. I will check out the options. I think tookdii is the DTAC package.
