Visa Run Via Mukdahan

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am new to this asking questions so I will try to be brief.

My 12 month, multi-entry O visa runs out 23 Jan. As I am not due to return to the UK for work just yet I was going to do a visa run to Loas via Mukdahn

My question is, will I only get a 15 day visa extension upon re-entry or can I get 3 months? I plan on making the trip on 21 or 22 Jan

Any help in this matter will be very much appreciated as I really don't fancy driving to Bangkok just a fly out to Singapore for the day.

You should receive a period of entry for 90 days if entering before the 23rd.

Enter any time before the Visa expiry date and you will receive 90 days entry.

thank you both "Lite beer & beechguy" for you answers.

have you had experience of visa runs at this point?

if so I hear that it can take an overnight stay to secure your visa is this so?

To obtain a new 90 day entry, exit Thailand and return. To obtain a new visa in the region, expect to spend at least one night or more, most consulates want the application made in the morning and pick up the next afternoon, some locations take longer.

Just cross the border, enter Laos, turn round and return. You already have a Visa.
