Khun Jean
Robin, You can try second hand shop close to Lamai. It is on the ring road. Coming from Lamai on the right hand site. Other good area is Mae Nam. You have many shops there. I would try here first. The second hand shop is sometime more expensive than new!!! Just outside Nathon there are also good suppliers. And go have a look if someone is selling there bar, there are allways a few. Maybe you can pick up something cheap and good. Goodluck.
Boo
Coco Cola will provide you with fridges if you order a certain amount of stock from them, beer chang I think also do this. Any specialised bar stuff (unusual chairs & tables, building a bar counter etc) can be done by local artisans, just a case of asking around & finding out about the local people. Soph
How about the wicker chairs, stools, tables etc, you often see them for sale in shops around the ring road and there pretty cheap and I think look good. Where is your new bar by the way?

MrAG
Also dont forget about a liquor license and cigarette license. Cheap to get at the Nathon Ampur, but without it expect trouble if visited by the 'locals'. They both must be displayed along with copy of company papers, etc. New pool/snooker tables available at BOSS snooker, about 2km past Nathon on the left on the way to Lamai. Cost 38K snooker --> 55K pool +/- (non-coin op.) Best of luck and see you on opening night!!!

Khun Jean
Don't be to worried about your opening time. Better to do the job good. Use the time until half december to get a good feeling of your own place and test the location of seats and other furniture. Test run it until everything runs smooth. When it is high season you will have no time for that. I don't know you so maybe it is obvious to you, but i see many bars get into trouble with employees that are not prepared and learned how to make drinks, cocktails (and their names), snacks etc.. And be able to calculate good. Maybe if you have no girls shouting "handsum man" to everyone and have deafening music i am interested to visit. Good Luck.
