mpdkorat
I have just heard through the grape vine that Korat has just opened a new immigration office for farangs in Korat. The office is in Assumption school, first building on the left as you drive into the complex. Apparently it opened last Monday, but have yet to put up a sign. Anyone know any more? dutch
It is good news (at least for me ) Yesterday morning I went personally to this place. Indeed through the main entrance and the first building on the left (even before the security) Building is empty except fot the first floor. One is busy to install all essential office atributes. I spoke to the manager in charge and several others (all fluent in english !). Ready for action by next month. ALL actions like 90 days reporting and all visa issues. It is a big office with about 15-20 desks, fully manned. It looked like I was the first client, the way how I was treated.

An immigration office cannot issue a further 90 days stay stamp.

Instead of going to the border ?I have a Multiple entry B-visa. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it is not possible. But if you have a work permit and meet the qualifications you may be able to obtain a one year extension of stay from immigration.

mpdkorat
HI , Has any one used the New Immigration Office in Korat yet...? any one got its phone number...?......... Thanks........ OKey <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I talked to someone who had been in there the other day. I was told that the place is not really up and running yet. He spoke to someone that spoke very poor English. Apparently they are doing nothing in there at the moment. I do hope that changes as It would be very useful to have an office in Korat.
