Product That Speeds Up Your Internet Connection

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anyone used this before:

http://www.onspeed.com

It claims to make a Broadband connection 3 times faster, but I'm a bit skeptical myself, especially with the up-and-down nature of the TOT connection I have here in Bangkok.

Anyone out there had any success with this?

I have been using it for allmost one year now and I am quite satisfied with it. I do not know how well it works on broadband as I am using it in my GPRS connection through my GSM telephone. I do not do so much downloading, mostly browsing different news sites etc and there it really works well with a speed increase if 5 to 8 times.

For downloading I do not know if it will give any major benefits as most of the stuff you want to download is usually in a rather compressed format allready...

No.

I have passed the link on to other more internet savvy friends.

Awaiting feedback :o

Dont know if it works on broadband but Ashampoo Optimizer sure speeded up my dialup.

Most products like these don't actually speed up your connection. What they do is compress images and other data so that they're smaller and thus get completed faster. The downside is that compressed images lose quality.

The claims of being 5x faster are a bit exaggerated... you can get that only in optimal (rare) situations.

I have used it in both Thailand and the UK and i dont think its very good in fact i think it downloads stuff slower! i rend up switching it off most of the time!
