Do Any Of You....

Do any of you own a business... like a bar in Thailand? When I go on vacation I always like to have a sort of "headquarters" where I chill for an hour or more each day and get situated before I hit it hard :o

Or if not, do any of you have any suggestions? Last year it was this bar ran by some English dudes named "Spike and Steve" it was pretty much around the corner from Siam Sawasdee (actually you had to walk through a beer bar complex and cross this little dirt road, but pretty much around the corner).

thanks!

Nver thought of the Eagle bar as somewhere to chill..........bit loud for me as a starting point.

If you want a place to chill , beer 45 baht 5-7pm then 50baht all night try Wonderful 1 top of Soi Yamoto always a lot of Brits in there (not yobs :D )............always my starting point anyways.

Also plenty of other Brit bars down the Soi most with rooms if needed :o

I know a few, Gogo's ?,Beer bars?, music?

Whats your fancy? :o

A bar where the workers are friendly and helpfuland not pushy, I don't want to deal with anybody trying to sell me their worthless crap or begging (I plan on going there when I wake up or after I sit by the pool at the hotel for awhile).

buffalo bar has some great girls and cheap beer tpp.

we are the world bar(beach rd) eagle bar and world wide bar are all owned by the same owner tian, all serve 35 baht chang and singha and 45 baht hieneken all day so very popular with ex pats.

i like world wide bar across from the chemist cnr soi7 and moo9 as my daytime drinking place very friendly girls no hassles no asking for ladydrinks and no loud music.

also i like jack tar bar on soi6 around 2ish in the afternoon but that is more to do with the eye candy.

Aw, come on Dave!! You have your own personal seat in a number of locations from what I hear.... :o

I concur on Eagle Bar, Soi 7. 35 baht Chang & 45 baht Heinneken all day & night.

It's a lot quieter and friendlier in the daytime vs night. I buy some of the older birds a drink while I'm there and they always make me feel welcome. Good place to catch-up on the local gossip! :D

Alamo Bar on Soi 8 is a friendly place as well.
