welshchris Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Hi Guys My wife and I are bringing our one year old to Korat. Rather than the hassle of buses i was wondering if any one had any numbers for companies in Korat that did a taxi service to Pattaya. If so any idea on prices. Thanks in advance Chris
saakura Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Better to avoid Pattaya, not ideal holiday destination for a family from what i have read here from other posters.
thrilled Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 it'll cost ya,don't know how much a few thousand baht.
sezze Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 In most taximeters there is a chart on long distance prices , according per city and amount of miles . I sat in a taxi once in BKK and the price on the trip from BKK to Udon ( which is further ) was 5000 baht ( if i remeber correctly ) . We talked about it and the driver said , if you want to go , i take you for 4000 ( 1000 off ) . We didn't do it ( we weren't interested in the 1st place ) but i guess the price isn't that bad if you go with a couple off persons .
thurien Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) just contact the front desk of one of the bigger hotels in Khorat, they help you with direct offers or redirect you to a taxi co. Edited February 16, 2011 by thurien
sinbin Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Just had my mother transfered to Swampy. The driver did it for 3,500 Baht, incl toll charges, the distance being about the same. If done on a metered rate I believe the cost would have been 2,600, but you'd need to find a driver that has just started his shift as it's roughly an 7-8 hour round trip.
