Exit Stamp?

Featured Replies

29 year old American currently on a 12 month Single entry ED visa.

I am going to India in April for holiday and need to find out what i need to do before leaving so my current visa won't expire.

I have never had to do this, but i assume i will need some type of exit stamp, so i don't have to re-do my ED visa upon returning from India.

Thanks

Also i think my exit card is no longer in my passport. I have a habit of losing or destroying anything that comes within contact with me. How much will that cost me.

You have a visa valid for multi entry from a Consulate or you have a 12 month extension of stay from Immigration inside Thailand?

12 month extension from inside thailand. Expires in Aug 2011

You need to go to immigration and apply for a re-entry permit, costs 1,000 baht for a single.

You have to fill in a form and provide a passport size photo, and possibly a copy of passport and arrival card and ticket. But that depends on the office.

Be sure to return to Thailand before Aug, otherwise you have to get a new Ed-visa.

When you return to Thailand you get a new arrival card, on that one you fill in the number of your re-entry permit instead of the visa number.
